The singer was born on November 26 1987 at Santa Monica California in the United States of America. She is the child of her father Vincenzo and maternal grandmother Valerie Barba. At the age of six the family relocated to Point Pleasant New Jersey. Red Bank Catholic High School was where she got the formal education she needed at the time in New Jersey. She graduated from Catholic University in New Jersey with a bachelor's degree. Since the age of four, she has been a violinist"Violingirl" was her nickname. The name she was given by her first name because of her appearances. She was a violin teacher to children in the neighbourhood. The show's sixth season, American Idol, she sang Free in the year 1976, when she was 19 years old. The singer was then removed from the competition after she placed 16th place. She has performed many songs including the 2009's "The Songs of Christmas" and the 2010's Out for Blood. Additionally she has performed on various programs on television, including Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Antonella Barba became famous as an American during her time in American Idol's sixth season. Her career began in film after her elimination from American Idol in six seasons. In the past, she's appeared in minor role in a few films and appeared on Fear Factor in the 2012 season. As per Daily Mail reports on November 21 2019 she was sentenced to nearly 4 years in jail for collaborating to distribute the drug fentanyl. In July 2018, the singer pleaded to having at least 400 grams of Fentanyl, and attempting to sell the drug.
